
This amazing old swivel chair has the original cast iron hardware and is fully adjustable (seat, backrest and back post). The markings on the cast iron read ‘Pat’d Nov. 30 1897’ and then ‘Cook Quality’ on the bottom, presumably the manufacturer name. And it really is a high quality chair, with beautiful woodworking and great ergonomics (for 1897). I got it at the Alameda outdoor antiques market.
