Sometimes when you know a city really well, and you see some detailed data about it, it just makes sense at a gut level.

This morning, in the midst of the nonstop Coronavirus coverage, the LA Times published a fun map showing virtually block by block which neighborhoods voted for who in the Super Tuesday primary.

I needed a break from more serious reading, and as someone who lived in San Francisco for almost 20 years, it made sense right away. Yes, of course those neighborhoods went for Warren. Yes, of course those others voted for Biden and Bloomberg. And course everyone else voted for Bernie!

Was this important, heavyweight journalistic work from the LA Times? Or low-calorie clickbait entertainment? I don’t know, and I didn’t care this morning – today was a day I was happy to click the bait and be distracted!
